The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Zone of the University is the part of Indian Red Cross Society (Tamil Nadu Branch). It provides awareness programmes for first aid, five fighting methods, Voluntary blood donation, Yoga and other physical fitness exercises. It also organizes National, State and Universities Level YRC campus for the students during December/January every year.

Students who are desirous to join YRC in the University Departments can approach Dr. P.Chellasamy, YRC Zonal Co-Ordinator of the University. Ph: 0422 - 2426881. Students in the affiliated colleges can approach their YRC Programme Officer for enrollment and training.
